The critics and protests and crooked MSM are trying to keep him from MAGA, so we need to restrict the 1st amendment, etc.

I think this risk is why you see Democrats fighting him firmly within the structure of the "normal" government.

Beyond the battle for this-or-that policy, there is a battle for "is this a legitimate system or not". Fires serve the autocrat.
