I don't feel safe today. My adolescent emotions have come pouring back. Very few people can feel truly safe today. 5/

My hope is that America of 2016 is full of love, and that by standing together we can keep each other safe. My hope. 6/

On the other side is fear that the progress of the last 20 years has been ripped away. That tentative gains will vanish in a blink. 7/

But we owe it to our families, our communities, and our friends to fight hard to hold onto those gains. To fight for love & understanding 8/

Ultimately, I believe that the arc of history bends towards justice, and that with work, we can protect and defend our trajectory. 9/
