it's a big glass track pad that feels pretty similar, and I rejected a lot of trackpads in the past on these grounds.

for the longest time my sticking points were trackpad and hidpi. Those problems are mostly solved these days.

Gnome Ubuntu. Far and away the best option for modern UI and maximum ecosystem support (minimal need to do stuff yourself)
