1) You have no idea if the sample *what* the sample is representative of. All JS users? Mostly isolated to specific communities?

tbqh: 9000 responses out of the entire world of people using JavaScript daily is probably a +/- 20% error margin.

definitely not enough, but also a lot. The error margin is not helped by what you mentioned, that it was likely shared inside cliques.

it's also not great to combine ppl using JS for "apps" with ppl using JS for "islands of richness" (old-but-good critique)

lumping all android phones together has a similar problem (flagships are a very different experience than midrange)
