ya `:` syntax predates TS "as" - but want to be consistent w casting. Prob with "as": used in import for value binding @BrendanEich
I like that these syntaxes can be guessed over Twitter once over the initial "new" shock.

`options=this.{ x, y, ...rest }` and `this.{ x, y, ...rest }=options`? `http://this.rest ` is object.
-
Not exactly sure what the 1st means? Could imagine a few things... The 2nd seems fairly clear, tho
@wycats@BrendanEich -
1st is Object.extend or whatever the dream-method was; 2nd is "row capture" (Successor ML term).
-
1st is `options = Object.assign({ x: this.x, y: this.y }, http://this.rest );`
-
Object.extend got renamed Object.assign? :-P
