I'm increasingly baffled by ppl who draw a distinction between "the web" & "the browser". Most interesting properties are abt the browser.

are you using "browser" in the sense of "user agent"? if so, I agree that's not a useful idea

I mean thing with a URL bar that knows how to display today's "web standards" and has a mechanism for linking to another URL.

IMO something like `lynx` is useful as a user-agent, even though it's not a "browser" by this definition
