Some of extreme programming was born out of a consulting model and straight up doesn't work for product teams. eg 3 mo. rotation is insanity
even the most slow-moving dinosaurs have late-breaking requirements. Quite often more so! ("Congress passed a law...")

one problem is that while the answer is balance, people make caricatured arguments from one perspective or the other
