So possibly best remedies: 1) Make it easier to monetize unwalled gardens 2) Make it easier to link out of gardens

(2) is easy. Links are text, and all wall gardens support them. People use them, too.

(1) is getting better too with things like Apple/Android Pay on the web (also active hand-wringing)
