Node.js choosing .mjs will likely go down as one of the most shortsided decisions made by their leaders. Reminds me of Python 3.
sorry I didn't mean a style of argument. I just mean the current governance doesn't represent everyone.

you are welcome to join TC39 (and I understand that you plan to). Am I welcome to join the CTC?
-
you should be if you go through the process. Though reqs are more on the side of contribution than pay to play.
-
during the .mjs debate, people repeatedly claimed that
@littlecalculist,@caridy and I were interlopers -
when in fact we are deeply involved in the node ecosystem and maintain packages used by many, many people.
-
we can continue to operate under the "interloper" assumption, but it's not going to land us up in a good place long-term
-
we can do better than that.
-
I would agree on being seen as "different". I continue to feel that way after having months of talks that became less than pleasant
-
1 of the reasons for that is that you insisted on writing summaries that characterized our position without asking if we agreed

I understand that it's your responsibility to represent the CTC's consensus, but there are ppl on the outside looking in
-
I am making efforts to discuss why things were decided, though efforts don't always lead to mutually satisfactory results
