Asking to tone down the rhetoric != getting offended. I simply thought the "Rails is done because supress exists" comment silly

Rails 3 was an obvious improvement, nobody denies that! You made impossible possible
-
your blog post implies you're angry about the collaboration to this day!
-
collaboration is impossible when
@dhh can veto anything that is against his philosophy. BUT IT’S FINE REALLY! -
how can you believe that and what you said about rails 3 at the same time?
-
bkz I’m thinking about concrete stuff now - callbacks, validations tied to AR, tons of methods. That won’t change
-
DataMapper had validations. I think it's possible to come up with a better "callback" story but work in apps is key
-
the way I think about it,
@dhh has stuff he wants, I have stuff I want, and they usually don't contradict directly. -
if your solution just drops
@dhh's constraints, you will not be surprised to learn he rejects it. - 3 more replies

good to know, then I hope AR will be modularized more in the future :) (not talking about ruby modules)
-
you don't need to tell me that modularity is not Ruby modules ;) http://yehudakatz.com/2008/11/15/mythbusting-rails-is-not-a-monolith/ …
-
just trying to avoid any more confusion (ie other people are probably reading this thread)
-
np. btw if you read that post you'll see that we actually addressed most of the "big" modularity issues from that timeframe
