@wycats Found the tooling and integration issues with both flow and TS hard to deal with. Went for a more "native" approach - tcomb. Stoked.

@controlplusb what kind of tooling and integration issues? -
@wycats TS is tricky with excessive 3rd party consumption, also with plugging into a non-TS project. It's possible, but got moaned at hard. -
@controlplusb Hm. Maybe you just got hit as an early adopter? Nothing fundamental for me about those things. -
@controlplusb (for example we replaced just the ember rendering engine with TS, which required a lot of integration and workflow) -
@controlplusb we had to do some of the work ourselves, but once it's done...

@oriSomething@wycats I'm about to start a long term project ¿Any preference between the two? Now prefer flowtype but worry about future -
@crispamares@oriSomething tbh I picked TS because flow is part of the "grand vision" of FB projects and don't want to have to fight that. -
@crispamares@oriSomething it's perfectly standalone, but the fact that so much design input comes from other projects behind the wall
-
@wycats What's an example of such a design decision in Flow?@crispamares@oriSomething -
@lbljeffmo@crispamares@oriSomething the first bunch of times I asked you about decorators you said no plans to implement; React is opposed -
@lbljeffmo@crispamares@oriSomething at that point TS had already implemented for Angular, who was already using them. -
@wycats@lbljeffmo@crispamares but i think we should talk also about the good part. since many TS goodies are from there - 2 more replies

Is that strictness also available in
@flowtype? -
Yes.
@flowtype had it first :) -
Cool! I kind of thinking of using
@flowtype instead of typescript so i dont have to change much :) -
I've found
@typescriptlang's tooling and windows support to be better but YMMV. -
I see. I am thinking of this purely to avoid null checks to get closer to Elm.
-
I also read that
@flowtype doesnt increase file size(any additions can be stripped using webpack). Not sure about typescript -
The
@typescriptlang project is careful about "just stripping out types" - End of conversation
