I keep trying Windows and being overwhelmed by how much worse the same apps are for Windows vs. OSX.pic.twitter.com/gxkHEAe9s9

The Windows app situation reminds me of how I felt about Android apps 2-3 years ago before Material Design.

@wycats It is a little bit @1Password fault here. They dont even use material design on Android. The app looks bad *now*, not just years ago

@PipoPeperoni @wycats Material design is coming soon on Android, and Windows has some stylish pixels coming, as well.

@1Password @PipoPeperoni 😀 the problem feels more of a windows problem than a 1password problem tbh.

@wycats were they osx first? ports are generally second class, I find the same reversed when occasionally using osx

@monasticpanic chrome is much worse on windows. e.g. you need an extension to get smooth scroll o_O

@wycats Chrome is odd in that regard...though I happen to hate smooth scroll, so that works for me :P may be Stockholm syndrome

@wycats Wow, that's exactly it. Seems to me that Windows's design has so much cruft that it can't be saved without a total restructure.

@wycats Early OS X was ugly but for some reason retained a decent organizing structure and it's still conceptually the same today.

@wycats Windows, on the other hand – hard to say if its structure can be saved with a few tweaks.

@wycats Doing windows full time ATM. Could not agree more. Saving grace as a tablet is that it has a real web browser.

@sgrif do you find the speed/power enough? Webapps are pretty demanding on tablets nowadays.

@wycats Microsofts backwards compat strength is it's weakness with this… they need to draw a line but even Win10 itself is a mishmash
