@wycats There's too much material out there talking about "ES7" features that are really ES.later (we don't know when they'll land)

@wycats This is just the natural consequence of a rhythmic release cycle, and TC39 is actually doing that now :)

@wycats Haha, but if they’re in transpilers, they’re ES.rightnowbehindtheshedwherethecoolkidsgotosmoke :-P -
@raganwald ES.maybe :p -
@wycats So are decorators a .next, a .later, or a .maybe? -
@raganwald I would call them .later. -
@raganwald stage 0 is .maybe. After that it's .later unless we have good reason to believe otherwise imo.

@wycats I don't care about .next and .later because they both have future bias. I want to know ES.arrived, ES.now, ES.landed, ES.transpile -
@eccegordo ES.transpile isn't that useful because it depends on a lot of implicit details ;) -
@eccegordo ES.next and ES.later are about risk and risk tolerance, which is a real thing to care about. -
@wycats agreed, those are useful distinctions. Sometimes though just need easy way to know if feature has landed or experimental/transpiled
