@paulcsmith There is a round-trip + the cost of doing the work in Ruby. "Much less than 50ms" is a unicorn. -
@wycats That's true with Rails. I've been using Phoenix though. Easily generates responses in <3ms. Feels instant on the client side. -
@paulcsmith Assuming the user's connection is good. Use a phone (or tether) and game over. -
@wycats. That is a valid point, but if the user's connection is bad, downloading an MVC framework also isn't pleasant. -

@wycats I'm not arguing for/against MVC frameworks. Just pointing out that it *is* possible to send things quickly over web sockets.
