When Ember started requiring Handlebars 2.x, it should have marked a major version of its own. Same for HTMLBars. Ember 1.10 is really 3.0.

@wycats Rails is better isolated from rendering than Ember is from Handlebars. Em.Hbs.compileTemplate went away -
@jamesarosen I would be in favor of returning shims for public APIs people were relying on.
