I fear that the growing support for half-baked type systems in JS will set back good type systems for another decade (like Java)

@wycats that much may be true, but i find clojure a joy to program precisely because i worry less about types. -
@techpractical@wycats maybe you've only worked with types that got in your way, not helped? Like Java's. I like Clojure too tho -
@Bluu for the most part I only care about the shape of the data rather than the type. Interfaces/protocols made to work well in clojure -
@techpractical what if shape and type were the same thing? :) Ad-hoc polymorphism is a huge win in Clojure but can be in static langs too -
@Bluu presume you mean type classes. Some, perhaps. But see horrible APIs
