@wycats insert UNIX philosophy comment here
We can do both larger creations from smaller reusable attractions, eh.

@brianleroux and yet somehow most users of Unix start with pre-fab distributions. What does it mean? -
@wycats means we can (and should) build larger families of curated (and supported) abstractions from small composible units -
@brianleroux aaaaand done. -
@brianleroux some might call that curated set a "distribution" or a "framework". -
@wycats right, some might want to reuse just the router even. -
@brianleroux totes. router.js. angular 2.0 even uses just route-recognizer.js :) - 2 more replies

@wycats I think that people who build cars (i.e. devs) DO put them together. People who buy cars (i.e. website visitors) don't. -
@crtr0 framework authors are car builders. Devs are truck drivers or delivery folks. Some customization required, but mostly shared. -
Will agree to disagree MT

@wycats I think the more interesting comparison here is with car manufacturers, who often share components and specs. Car buyers benefit. -
@yaypie yep, 100%. Modularity on the inside is key. Forcing it on end consumers not so much. -
@wycats I think the problem is assuming that all JavaScript devs are “consumers”. I think that’s unfair, and sometimes borders on elitism. -
@yaypie don't think that at all. Just lots of shared tech. Even racecar drivers start with something standard and tweak the hell out of it.
