Browser implementor friends: Can you give me specifics about why "XML namespaces are terrible"? Concrete please.
@tabatkins Misunderstood; thought "practical experience shows that a single prefix namespace works well." meant `-`. Do you mean `foo:`?

@wycats I didn't refer to any specific thing. But, for example, jQuery modules. -
@wycats A specific syntax like "-" may have its own issues, but it's not a problem of name conflicts, it's of parsing ambiguity. -
@tabatkins The problem with `-` is that "ember-foo-bar" and "foo-bar-baz" are ambiguous. No clear delineation between NS and tag name. -
@wycats Yeah, no argument there. That's a non sequitur as a response to my OP, though. ^_^ -
@tabatkins Twitter is hard :P The fact that document.createElement restricts tag names makes it hard to experiment. `:` maybe only option? -
@wycats I think you can still use _, no? : isn't useful; it's treated badly by the parser. -
@tabatkins In the case of Ember, we're converting HTML templates into a series of `createElement` etc. calls, so we can make small tweaks
