@garybernhardt This trips me up so often. What’s up with that @wycats ?
-
-
@wycats@garybernhardt colon or comma or allowing it to be specify multiple times -
@evanphx@garybernhardt the last one of those sounds good :) Rails set the standard for Ruby CLIs; Thor copied -
@wycats@garybernhardt What in rails uses space to separate elements? I've never seen anything use it other than bundler. -
@evanphx@garybernhardt rails g resource people title:string body:text -
@wycats@garybernhardt Nah dude, those aren't options. -
@evanphx@garybernhardt allowing multiple is fine. I personally don't enjoy --without a --without b etc unless used in Makefile

@wycats@evanphx@garybernhardt it's because Thor implements it's own non-POSIX compliant option parsing. Should have just used optparse. -
@postmodern_mod3 I just remember you PRed optparse for mutant once. Thx again ;) -
@_m_b_j_ optparse might not be the greatest, but it's POSIX compliant, in stdlib and even supports a limited coercion API (aka accept). -
@postmodern_mod3 I do not use that coercion and do it explicitly, but yeah it was the right choice to accept this patch.
