Is it just me, or is a lot of this anti-Standard-Markdown backlash part of a poorly conceived anti-standards zeitgeist?
@jankrems the license is for the Perl software. You can't license a name, just software, with the BSD license!

@wycats not a lawyer, those terms might not hold up. But it's pretty explicitly including the name. -
@jankrems You cannot just issue a license and bind the universe with it. It's a license that applies to usage of the markdown software. -
@wycats C'mon, if I write a web server in Java and publish a spec for "Std nginx config" b/c it uses similar config files, that'd be weird.
