overall impressed by the #WWDC keynote and the way iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite are integrating - hard to see Android or Windows Mobile competing
@feyeleanor asm.js! Also, all app platforms are full of bloat. No love lost for win32 or Cocoa.

@wycats I agree, had my fill of win32 in the 90s and Cocoa seems as labyrinthine as Java. I'll admit I'm impressed by asm.js though -
@feyeleanor :) People are too quick to dismiss the web platform. It's a chameleon and adapts quickly.

@wycats it really shows off how well optimised modern JS implementations are and my inner VM/JIT geek appreciates that - but JS? yukky -
@feyeleanor You're better off thinking of asm.js as a new bytecode language that happens to be back compat with JS. It's small after gzip. -
@wycats if there were a golang->asm.js compiler I'd put some time in to playing with it -
@feyeleanor Does golang compile to LLVM? If so, should be very easy. -
@wycats@feyeleanor There is an llgo. There is also a transpiler that compiles the golang syntax to JS I believe. -
@evanphx@wycats yes, though https://github.com/nsf/gollvm is experimental and https://github.com/gopherjs/gopherjs … lacks goroutines#golang
