I stand by my experience with a touch-screen laptop: MS and Google are right to pursue that tech, and Apple is dumb not to.
@erniemiller @avdi @derickbailey the pixel is great, but the touchscreen doesn't pay for itself. More work needed to justify it.

@wycats@erniemiller@derickbailey you can get a touch screen on much, much cheaper laptops, so it doesn't need to pay for itself. -
@avdi@erniemiller@derickbailey it needs to pay for itself because accidental touches are not free UXwise -
@wycats@erniemiller@derickbailey I don't recall ever having that problem unless curious toddlers count as accidental -
@avdi@wycats@erniemiller@derickbailey I accidentally close my SMS app on my phone all the time because I accidentally hit home. -
@rerouse@wycats@erniemiller@derickbailey that's a phone. Your fingers are always less than an inch from the screen when using it. -
@avdi@rerouse@erniemiller@derickbailey if you find yourself using the touchscreen often I can see why you think it's worth it :)

@wycats@avdi@derickbailey I could see that. Ever since glass-screen MBPs arrived, I've been expecting a "one more thing" to be touch.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
