What are some common Rails performance gotchas? Just a tweet would be great, but links to blog posts, diagnostics, etc. would be awesome too
@allspiritseve partials as opposed to inlining? What's the alternative to AR instantiation? Better queries? find_each?

@wycats hard to explain solutions over twitter; I'll write a blog post tomorrow. -
@allspiritseve@wycats hate to be that guy, but would love that blog post! Hard to find benchmarks and best practices on this stuff. -
@InsideTheBlock no worries! I appreciate the reminder. Not nearly enough people talking about Rails performance techniques. -
@InsideTheBlock people focus on caching, N+1, or obscure GC tweaks, but those won't fix all problems (and can obscure them in some cases) -
@allspiritseve I've found the Bullet gem catches N+1 and needed eager loading well- https://github.com/flyerhzm/bullet . cc@wycats -
@InsideTheBlock indeed. We're planning on catching this kind of stuff via@skylightio as well.@allspiritseve
