@wycats@alexspeller What are you trying to do? You can make the background non-interactive with pointer-events: none (or remove it). -

@mbostock right. The issue I'm having is that when I click outside of the brush, the clear and redraw happens out of my control -
@wycats I don’t recommend transitions on interaction since the transition gets interrupted on continuous input … but -
@mbostock This is just transition on click, not drag. I don't animate drags. (I'll put it on bl.ocks when I finish so you can look)
