In your Ember app, where do you find yourself making calls to Model.find? Route? Controller? If in a view or helper, why? Other places?

@wycats CPs in components too, I expect. E.g. A currency selector component

@seilund you would make an HTTP request in a component?

@wycats through my model layer, yes. I don't know any other way to supply a reusable component with data. Makes sense?

@seilund Why not pass it in when you call the component?

@seilund that seems reasonable. Basically remotely fetched config.

@wycats I have used this approach in a View once. This was an Autocomplete Field, where the suggestions were retrieved via Model.find.

@wycats For top level resources only Route. But for nested resources that aren't sideloaded, setupController, to get linkTo and direct URLs.
