@wycats I *really* wish Bundler didn't update all sub-dependencies when I "bundle update foo". Sooooo many breakages.
@jamesarosen you should update your Gemfile and bundle install. That will lock sub-dependencies.

@jamesarosen my guess is that SOMETHING ELSE depends on rails, which is satisfying your requirements not to unlock ;) -
