What's your favorite resource for learning Go as a beginner? Something like Go by example? Exercism? Something else?

@sdboyer's work is exceptional and I wish the Go team was willing to work more closely with him.

Oh my, you really hope your ❤️ does not mean "yes." I value everything that Sam did, and I can entirely understand how he feels, but the last we need in the Go community is a continuation of this drama.

It does not mean yes. 😱 I was just appreciating the positive feedback about my work. I should be more careful 🤗

As a former Ruby community member, I really appreciate your work on Bundler, and hope to see you in Moscow again on RailsClub, or some Rust conference, or on @GopherConRussia. :)

I'm a fan of Get Programming with Go by @nathany. The writing is clear and the exercises are quite good. I've been going through it since it was in beta. https://www.manning.com/books/get-programming-with-go … Exercism is also a good resource.

A Tour of Go, Go by Example. I've found Effective Go also a good supplement. More intermediate, I highly recommend @goinggodotnet 's Ultimate Go Programming on Safari Online.

I'm still learning Go. Followed this way so far chronologically: - Go tour - Go by example - Implemented basic algo & ds in go. Understood why people ask for generics - Built a simple rest api with net/http, then refactored it with gorilla/mux - gophercises dot com

The http://justforfunc.com  YouTube channel. Seeing a go code being written and refactored gave me a better feel for writing idiomatic go.
