Is it just me, or do Parental Control systems in popular apps basically not work at all for common use-cases?

It’s not just you. We ultimately had to ban YouTube except for cases where we’re showing him one video. Netflix works better, because of its curation, but we ultimately rely on him knowing the rules. Which works until he wants to break them.

That probably works for slightly older kids.

Yeah, it really ought to support whitelisting. If I can do it manually by subscribing to YouTube Red and downloading the videos...
