I had to install each tool separately, but it turned out ok for me last I tried. What went wrong?

If I installed VS + cmake through chocolatey, cmake-rs detected the right -G option, but cmake doesn't detect the compiler. I tried a few different versions of the msvc build tools, and a few different versions of cmake.

I tried to use the GNU pipeline but it's a hassle to get everything installed and the Rust ecosystem really prefers MSVC. I didn't succeed. I tried cygwin but cmake-rs detects the wrong -G option in that environment.

Better not mix the two and plus window

Sadly not an option if relying on the wabt crate and want to develop on Windows

-
Must thanks to my employer not asking a lot for Windows

Is there anything that Chocolatey can help out with here? Are there existing packages for what you are trying to install? If you could get something working perhaps it would be a good addition to this repo:https://github.com/Microsoft/windows-dev-box-setup-scripts …
