I will never forget that night. We lived in an apartment complex, but had some woods nearby. We could see the flashes of light as transformers blew and listening to the branches break was unreal. Fortunately our power was only out that time for less than a day.

An epic week at the firehouse in Fairport with
@RFDBCCompton. We ran more calls in a week than we do all year and had 3 fire departments from Onondaga County running out of our station. Absolutely remarkable. -

My Dad was without power for 2 weeks. Thankfully he had a fireplace and gas stove! I was in college at Oswego....we just had rain.

True. Oswego/Syracuse had rain. Buffalo/Niagara had snow and sleet. But Rochester and the Genesee Valley...freezing rain resulting in ice, ice, ice.
