It’s not default but I have mine set to show meeting details to anyone. If it’s actually a private meeting I use the private setting for the meeting. In my experience it’s been useful, especially for people I work closely with.

Yeah, read delegation to a limited group helps planning. But to the point I have to censor what I put into the calendar => detrimental. I’ve also had read/write to some people to take myself out of the schedule loop. Works great, but indicative of larger problem.
