Opcodes being shuffled on every FFXIV patch is so obnoxious. I don't understand these stupid half-measures they're doing that don't really stop ACT but just create annoying work for everyone on every patch.

Yeah I agree it's probably about bots. I just wish they'd do a real combat log instead of forcing one to be built using ACT.
It’s not to stop bots, or if it is it wouldn’t make sense. I expect most bots are modified clients, unless some large scale group made a protocol only client. And if so this wouldn’t set them back much.
