Hundreds joined our bargaining session to tell WSU Admin that we need massive change to make our University fully equitable and inclusive! #EquityDay
Screenshot of WSU-CASE Zoom screen. Presentation title is Equity Now! Topics to cover are: Anti-Discrimination; Respectful Work Environment (anti-bullying), Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, Accommodations, and Immigration.
Screenshot of WSU-CASE Zoom presentation and some attendees. One part of the presentation asks, "What do we want?" Third party arbitration; clear timelines; interim measures. The other screen asks, "Why do we want it?": Title IX is not sufficient; Current processes are fundamentally harmful and lack intersectionality; Reduce burden on victim, increase reporting and appropriate response.

WSU ASEs are not satisfied with the broken Title IX system that time after time denies justice to survivors and fails to address the systemic problems of harassment and discrimination at WSU. We will be showing our unity at the 4/24 bargaining session at 1:00pm over Zoom!

Amazing question, Natalie! A great way to help support CASE is to talk with any of your colleagues about our union and spread the word that we’re working toward a fair first contract. Thank you and solidarity!

What a way to kick off our newly re-formed Region 6! On Saturday, more than 300 members from across all sectors and areas of the Region came together to learn from each other, collaboratively set priorities, & commit to action steps for building power in the coming years.

Big wins for Postdocs and Academic Researchers at UC who have reached tentative agreements. Now it's time for UC to make serious proposals to Academic Student Employees and Student Researchers!

After submitting cards from a supermajority of current ASEs at WSU we have overcome hurdle after hurdle. Most recently, we urged WSU admin to take the remaining steps to cooperate with the certification process and our efforts succeeded. We have won our union!!

Tears of joy upon opening my email this morning. Since signing my union card at WSU I've defended & moved to an institution with both grad+ postdoc unions - the difference in agency is palpable. I've seen people be able to stand up for themselves and others with union backing
