That's right the epidemic hasn't been defeated yet. Narcan saved countless of lives but that is just sugar coating the problem

In Colorado, where marijuana has been "legal" for years, not only is the abuse of so-called hard drugs increasing but so is the illegal black market for weed and violent crime associated with it. Btw, Denver has also decriminalized 'shrooms; so what?

if you had safe alternative that you can freely buy, it would be better than opioids. it should be left up to the person to decide

I've briefly taken opioids post-surgery and when I was passing a kidney stone. I never became addicted, nor do most patients who are prescribed these very useful drugs. We shouldn't restrict the legitimate use of narcotic painkillers because of a small percentage of dopers.

they are highly addictive, but i am not saying get rid of them. you need strong drugs for things like surgery, but i'm saying give people alternatives, especially ones that are highly unlikely to get you killed and can relieve pain over long periods

I also have chronic pain from a severely arthritic hip, but I get by with Tylenol and have ZERO desire to use marijuana.

Question: Isn't it true that a vast, vast number of "opioid overdose deaths" are, in fact, VOLUNTARY SUICIDES by a "painless means of delivery?" I once served on a Board of Directors for a foundation for bereaved parents. As a class, they often don't want to look at the truth.

Law enforcement is not going to defeat prohibition. It could not defeat it in the 1920s and it cannot defeat it today. This is a medical problem and should be treated medically.

Prob due to increased availability of the new Narcan formulation, which is great, but it doesn’t equate to any progress at all when it comes to the goal of saving people from this living hell by treating the disease causing all the problems to being with
