SUVs are dangerous, especially to children. A SUV or pickup crashing into a person walking is 2 to 3 times more likely to kill them than a passenger car. Sign the petition to

Glad Vancouver made the top 10! Note that it is pretty easy to cycle & take transit to trails on North Shore and elsewhere in the region. Don't need to drive. Please update your article. There is a climate emergency. Often lack of parking & congestion. And it is 2020. Thanks!

Pretty sure this was done by BC Liberals and was part of changes at the hospital in Vancouver, BC when I was in for 9 months straight that led to a dreadful decline in care.

Thanks for meeting with us today ! We are grateful for the chance to talk about the urgency of completing the 10-Year Vision and making future federal transit funding permanent

  5. Hi Why is a sponsor of the Vancouver Auto Show? Their marketing doesn't include electric vehicles or safety at all. Instead, they are promoting gas powered high speed sports cars, SUVs and excitement. The exact opposite of what they should be doing.

  6. Hey Why on earth are you sponsoring the Vancouver Auto Show? They are promoting high speed sports cars, SUVs and excitement. With drinking and driving killing so many people, this is NOT something you should be supporting. cc

“He’s going to put a pipeline right through the middle of our sole-source drinking water, our aquifer. What kind of reconciliation is that?” said Coldwater Indian Band Chief Lee Spahan after today’s decision.

Whatever you think of pipelines, this argument has undeniable weight.

“What’s required right now is the strength and courage to recognize that these laws are unjust.” with the truth Canadian leaders still hide from: ignoring Indigenous rights and wrecking the climate is wrong, regardless of whether it’s legal.

Rules like this unfairly penalize single parents, especially those with low incomes or who live in poverty, and espcially BIPOC folks. We need to stop being afraid of the what-ifs and fear the actual risks. Kids on transit are fine.

I'm at a press conference in Vancouver where First Nation leaders are responding to the Federal Court of Appeal's decision that quashed an Indigenous legal challenge to the Trans Mountain pipeline. "Reconciliation stopped today," says one Tsleil-Waututh member.
