      It's a trap. With no Chinese demand for American soybeans, prices will plummet, suddenly everything in America will be made of soy.

      It's more complex than that. Soy is the nitrogen-fixer that complements corn. Everything in America is made from beans and corn...you have to rip and replace the entire operating system of our agricultural system...

      Alfalfa, Clover, Vetch, none are as profitable as soy

          Also: is the profitability due to global trade? Further: Is Agribusiness megacorps growing corn syrup and ethanol balanced by growing soy even the OS we want to run for US agriculture anyway?
