Pretty sure that moving a mouse pointer to an onscreen toolbar will soon feel as bizarre and anachronistic as manually dragging a scrollbar.

if it was a fully haptic (with dynamic textures) screen in place of the keyboard then ok, otherwise keep the physical keys

a year? I've seen people of any age (literally 2 - 75) be utterly confused trying to swipe on a laptop screen. It takes weeks.
