Could the diagram also be titled “How to teach like Papert”? I haven’t read Mindstorms recently, but I assumed the diagram came from there. I knew I was responding enthusiastically to something maybe intended half-jokingly. But I didn’t know I was full-on embarrassing myself...

the diagram came from a book on Etoys (I *think* this one https://www.amazon.com/Powerful-Ideas-Classroom-B-J-Allen/dp/0974313106 … but it's also in here http://www.mttcs.org/Projekte/Squeak/material/i3learning.pdf … ) and was intended in earnest by the authors! Don't be embarrassed, it's probably good pedagogy when used well, and patronizing when used poorly.
