5. Authors will often share a link to the big A. website for ease BUT you also pre-order from ALL bookshops & it is so amazing to support your local bookshop. Online, @hivestores in the UK means you can pre-order from an indie and @KennysBookshop in Irl. ships for free worldwide.
6. One final thing to mention is you usually don't have to pay now for any pre-orders. If you order online you will pay when shipped with A. and in bookshops when you collect so if you're planning to buy the book at some point anyway getting the pre-order in is amazing!

I didn't know this. I've always wondered why the book industry put so much weight on people being willing to pay now for something they couldn't have for ages, which always seemed somewhere between impulsive and unwise. They should call them "purchase reservations" instead.
