It’s just never ending now ... one thing after another No one in Britain can believe a word Johnson says So the question is if we can’t believe him - why would we expect any current or future trade partners to think Britain’s word can be trusted?

The Conservatives' new anti-democratic planning laws would ride roughshod over the views of local people. There is a much better way, using local neighbourhood planning to provide the homes, facilities and infrastructure communities need.

It's going to cost over £1m to re-run the Wiltshire Police and Crime Commissioner election because the Conservatives put up a candidate who is barred from taking up the post. The Conservatives should do the decent thing and pay up for their mistake:

The situation would have been very different if Cllr Chrystie had retained his seat in Pyrford or the Independents had kept their seat in the Byfleets. (3 of 3)

As a first priority, we will work with other parties for a full financial review of the Council, including its companies and what has been signed up to in the HIF bid to fund the Victoria Arch improvements. (2 of 3)

Following last week's local elections the position of the Lib Dems on Woking Council is unchanged. We will take control when we are the largest party. We really appreciate the support local people have given us but we ask for patience just a little longer. (1 of 3)

For absolute clarity, there is also no mention of the fact that the LD group is one down as hold the position of Mayor this year so numbers on the floor will actually be 11 to 13. And since no group leader discussions have yet taken place - this is cart before horse politics.

We want to run the council. When we're the largest party (that's democracy). Conservatives can't force us into a coalition (seen this one coming before!) and should stop playing political games.

The Government's plans are about taking power away from individuals, undermining the rule of law and attempting to silence opposition. Liberal Democrats will fiercely oppose these plans. - on the Queen's Speech ⬇️

It's so encouraging that we now have campaigning as a County Councillor and able to oppose cuts to SEN funding in our schools.

Our verdict on the government's new planning laws: an utter disaster that could take us back to a deregulated dark age of development. This new bill would undermine local democracy and lead to unnecessary loss of countryside. We need an urgent rethink.

We must have a full and properly independent inquiry that has the trust of the public, especially of the thousands of families that have lost a loved one to this terrible disease.
