If you have backups, can you restore from them - REALLY? And how long does it take to fully restore? Imagine Active Directory dead too.
AD being ‘dead’ is unlikely. That said, most shops haven’t done drills for it so they’d be googling ‘authoritative restore’ #sadtrombone

Not for SME running infrastructure on vsphere essentials or a small hyper-v cluster. Loss of AD quite possible due to shared storage.
