For those of us who do still HAVE to take the metro for work, you should stop charging peak hours when it’s dead.

We get it. Normally a change we'd make, but Pandemic Task Force advised against for 2 reasons: 1st, dozens of employees are needed to implement/test any fare change across 700+ fare gates at 91 stations. Doing this would conflict w/goal to keep home as many ppl as possible. 1/2

That’s unnecessarily hostile. It is overall the right thing to do for the public, and they and everyone are losing revenue right now there is no way around it. Which of course will impact all of us for a long time to come.

I depend on WMATA to get to work, the buses were overcrowded yesterday putting more ppl at risk, Like me, many ppl do not have the option to stay home and are required to work.
