Shouldn’t there be a law against constant and unrelenting harassment of the President of the United States? How many times are Democrats going to come up empty before the Supreme Court or Attorney General sees this for what it is ( PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT) and intervene?

President Trump is facing impeachment a year unless the House of Representatives flip to republicans in November!

The House requirement for impeachment should be 67%, not 50%. That was a huge mistake, and it's surprising that partisan impeachments haven't been more common.

Good luck with the constitutional amendment to change it.

Yeah you’d basically have to call an Article V convention to have any chance, and even then it’s unlikely individual states are willing to take this kind of stand. It would be more likely to happen if a party in majority decides to change the House rules to impose this limit.

Obviously also won’t happen but at least the barriers to it happening will be much lower.

As I mentioned elsewhere, it's short-sighted to attempt to change any of this based on current circumstances. It's the same reason the Senate won't change filibuster rules.

History teaches that the current party in power won't remain in power. Change the filibuster rules and you won't get it back. Change impeachment rules and you won't get it back. ...and someday you'll want the old rules back.

Yeah, I guess so. This scenario does show that, short sighted or not, there needs to be other controls on the impeachment power. Letting the House do basically whatever it wants, despite the language of the Constitution, just seems wrong.
