Um… what about the entire Mirrodin block?
Perhaps “Magic’s first cyberpunk set” would be a more apt description

The brother's war, as well, featuring such strict high fantasy tropes as a climactic mech battle and mechanical weather manipulation

Sci-fi setting? What happened to making things based on magic? Plenty of ways to do that and still be fantasy
-
Sci-fi can still have magic, and can still be cool with it! Just like fantasy can have futuristic technology.

I love magic. Play arena everyday and collect physical cards as well. I wasn’t a big fan of “Strixhaven” (aka magic Harry Potter)and I think I’m ok with skipping this set as well. Talk about a let down. Went from D&D to Werewolves to Vampires to…..futuristic cyberpunk….okay.

How do you love magic AND play arena everyday?
