- Is there financial assistance available? Yes! The Air Force graciously provides funding to help cadets in need attend encampment. All requests for financial assistance start by requesting a CEAP grant (Cadet Encampment Access Program) (gocivilairpatrol.com/programs/cadet).

Cadets who apply for CEAP may also request funding for a set of ABUs.

- What uniforms are required? Cadets will need a short-sleeve Blues uniform and an Airman Battle Uniform (ABU). Note that the woodland camouflage Battle Dress Uniform phases out as of 15 June 2021, therefore it will not be a current uniform at the time of encampment.

Cadets who have graduated from encampment are encouraged to attend one of our second-year schools: either the Cadet Development Course or the Wisconsin Cadet Academy. More information about these schools is available at the Summer Encampment website (wiwgencampment.org).

- Who should attend encampment? Any cadet who has not attended an encampment should attend our first-year program: the Wisconsin Basic School.

The process for refunding camp tuition is onerous and we want to avoid that necessity if possible. When registration does open we will let all members know.

- When can I register? Where do I register? Registration will happen online once it opens up. However, registration will not open until we are very confident that encampment will occur.

Our primary goal is to provide a first-year encampment experience to cadets who have not attended an encampment.

- Will every cadet who wants to attend be able to? We anticipate being able to welcome all cadets who want to attend. It is possible that COVID-19 restrictions may force us to put a cap on attendees and/or limit the size of certain schools but we don't foresee that.

- What COVID-19 precautions will be in place? We are still evaluating this and designing our plan. Our plan will be informed by guidance for CAP's National Headquarters, the Centers for Disease Control, and the American Camp Association.

- Will it be held? At this time we are planning for encampment to happen. Wisconsin Wing is in Phase 2 of remobilization right now. We need to be in Phase 3 in order to hold the event. We won't have a final answer on encampment happening until closer to the date.
