I think it’s also a great example of tactics/execution > idea Facebook starting with university networks Instacart not trying to vertically integrate the supply chain/warehousing Google & PageRank ...but that’s tied up in timing. Some tactics weren’t possible, say, pre-iPhone

I've seen people try this idea. Two essentials didn't work: 1. Barely anyone has an empty garage. 2. Successful marketplaces (like Airbnb) are about frequent and/or high-ticket transactions. Storage has neither of those.
