My friend Tom Pickens told me that his dad (T. Boone Pickets), wanted to buy Boeing and break it up in the 80's. The White House talked him out of it.

It is more that that... it is everywhere so it seems.. in the legacy companies.. it is not decay, it is way beyond rot and someone needs to have the guts to fix this.. disgusted. Boeing made us all great.. Now they are part of a big problem..

The problem is that under reagan, a number of regulations and procedures were rolled back. In particular, before reagan, company executives did NOT get bonus in publicly traded stock options. AA's bob Crandall has spoken over & over about the evil of this. MBAs need to be shot
