How do you measure a man? Inches? Oh, ok, I wasn’t expecting such an easy answer. Anyhow, I write software and try to think about life. I have OCD and 3 cats.

With iOS 6 using an iPhone to drive somewhere goes from “worst in class” to “best in class.” It’s gorgeous and simple.

@wilshipley Agreed. Seems few of the "reviews" of iOS 6 maps mention this. I guess focusing on lack of transit & street view generates hits.

@publicfarley I sure could not give less of a crap about street view.

@wilshipley But using an iPhone to take public transit in my city has gone from perfectly fine to completely non-existent (for now anyway).

@wilshipley Hopefully the pain is temporary though. Google Maps in Safari is at least vaguely usable until they get their own app out.

@wilshipley So far the maps I’ve seen make me think I should stay with iOS 5.

@wilshipley and it doesn’t get annoyed when you ask “Are we there yet?”

@wilshipley iOS Maps only problems are data/transit, both solvable in months. The interface makes my car nav look like a joke.

@wilshipley Depends on where you are. Where I drive - TX, CO, and CA - yes. Around the world, not so much.

@wilshipley I'm frustrated with business search in Maps, though. Immediately inferior.

@wilshipley It places my address blocks away from where it really is, I can’t call that best in class.

@wilshipley unless you are talking about accessibility to use without looking I could not disagree more. Taken down many wrong roads so far
