    Those data points are feedback loops on what people react to / like, but you've got to work at separating that from how you feel about yourself. Otherwise you spend time chasing that high from that one post, one time, vs letting it rip and speaking your truth.

    Good thread on the state of kids being detained at the border and separated from their families. It's not in the news much anymore but looks like there's some headway being made.

    When you put context like that around it, it hits different. Also everyone who reports to clients this is a case study in adding context to allow people to compare numbers that are too big to fathom.

    Does china have various provinces "competing" with each other like how we have states doing? Like state x has no taxes so they "compete" with state y who does kinda stuff.

    In the last 18 months I have had 2 conversations like this. I never thought of firing as impacting someone's self confidence this way, 18 years into management, and I'm still learning so much about the impact of my decisions.

    If you want to be seen as a GREAT consultant, you'll have to learn to take what your client thought they knew to tell you to do, and turn it into what they needed that they never would have asked. (Stole this from a friend's chat today).

    I love it when a client tells me a story 10-13 years ago, then I read a recent interview and he tells it the same way he told me when we met. I learned a ton from this man (seer was under 20 people). So many of his points here he shared with me early on.

    Try this with your own "me" queries over the last 4 years. Pull your "me queries" from paid you might want to look at bing data if you have decent spend there too. They show all search terms in paid reporting even if they only get impressions not clicks (Google limits this data)

    Ok google misfires is just a start... "Show me" "Get me" "Tell me" Are helpful root terms to mine your own data with. Also if you target elderly buyers you might want to pay attention a bit more than you were 4-5 years ago. That's all imma say about that for now.

    Now that I have learned basic sql in the last 4 years I am going to be able to rerun the data myself... Given we have some long term clients it will be super interesting to see their growth over 4 years. If you are into voice I can tell you this...

    While our approach / methodology was far from sound at least we tried to use something to back into our approach that was at an individual client level vs a "best practice level or speaker x at conference y said voice was going to be big" level.
