i believe there is a huge difference between people like kavanaugh and weinstein and people like stallman. stallman did what he did because he was autistic, needed affection or sth like that. he did not use his power or hide. i feel sorry for him.
He absolutely used his power here. That's how he got away with decades of creeping on women: protected by status and dude pals with power. He just had less power than Weinstein.
There are men (always with more power than you) who tell you creepy things when nobody is around. rms was obviously not this type. People like rms (his intelligence apart) are victims of their lack of social skills. they are not misogynist monsters imho.
I think it's fine to feel bad for him. Or Weinstein if you like. But only if one takes proportionate time to feel bad for each person they harmed. Otherwise it's just a more subtle way to reinforce the systems that let them go on hurting people.
